Rode Caster Illustration

For this fictional project, I tasked myself with digitally drawing a sound mixer. I assembled this piece using a variety of shapes, solid hues and gradients. While it’s not often as designers that we get asked to digitally draw an object to this level of detail, but for that reason it was a real treat! The key to this successful project was approaching it with an extreme level of organization in terms of identifying areas of repetition and then grouping layers accordingly. In order to take the shapes from a flat appearance to rivalling the original image’s appearance, I intentionally added dimension with help of opacity and layering techniques.
