As a graduate of the Creative Writing program at The University of Victoria (UVic) and the Graphic Design program at The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), I have a trained eye for impactful writing and design that work harmoniously. Additionally, I have experience in podcasting and photography. This confluence of media skills has equipped me to offer integrated marketing services curated to your business.

Hear from One of Carly’s Clients
After a year of developing a brand and a set of core products, Jasmin and I launched the SYLT Clay Company in the Fall of 2024. Working with our brand designer, we created a look and feel that we felt reflected our vision and values. Now we needed to take it to market. While we could see where we wanted to go, neither one of us had the expertise to fully introduce what we had envisioned.
Then along came Carly. She was not only able to see what we couldn’t, she had the experience and tools to make it all come to life.
Although we knew our story inside and out, we were struggling to tell it in a way that would convey the essence of what made our company so unique. Her first game changing contribution came by way of developing a snapshot of our key messaging and how to communicate it to a target audience. This document became and still is our go-to pillar for all our pitches.
As entrepreneurs, one of the biggest challenges has been to stay on track with the creative direction of the company as so many details and distractions get in the way. Carly has emerged as our creative lead, continuously guiding us in the direction of our values. She has built us the roadmap and holds us accountable.
The biggest and most recent leap came with the recommendation from Carly that we move our web presence to the Shopify platform. She led this transition and not only has it created drastically improved customer service, user friendly website management, but it has elevated the entire SYLT experience.
As part of this new website, Carly insisted on the value and importance of stockpiling creative assets and building organic and authentic professional photography, which led us to a photoshoot in Victoria, BC. This ended up being one of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences in the short history of our company. Carly captured our joy and energy in a venue that was completely aligned with our vision for the company. Through this creative process, she has elevated and reset the SYLT brand to a level of elegance and depth that we had envisioned when we set out on this journey!
